What is QuillBot?

QuillBot is a low-cost paraphrasing tool that employs cutting-edge artificial intelligence to paraphrase any piece of material. The tool’s main goal is to rewrite information by modifying the structure of sentences and replacing words with synonyms while maintaining the original content’s meaning.

Rohit Gupta, Anil Jason, and David Silin, three computer science students, launched it in 2017. Since then, they’ve been adding new features and enhancing the product’s quality on a daily basis.

QuillBot not only provides a paraphrasing tool, but also a summarising and grammatical checking tool all in one place.

QuillBot used to have five quill-modes for content quilling, but they’ve recently added two more quill-modes as well as Summarizer features, which we’ll go over in more detail below.

How QuillBot Works?

Anyone using a Web browser can access the Quillbot platform without having to sign in. On the home page, you’ll find the editor. The text can be written by the user or copied and pasted from another source. They can also upload a complete document for editing by browsing or dragging and dropping. If you install Quillbot as an extension, you can right-click on a sentence and choose to edit it with Quillbot.

The trained AI model employs natural language processing to rewrite text more effectively without changing the original meaning when you select the option. To make the writing look more formal, concise, imaginative, and so on, modes can be adjusted and compared. There are other tools for summarising and grammar checking.

Note: Standard, Fluency, and Creative quill modes are available in the free version. To access the Creative Mode, you must first register with QuillBot. (Also, without having an account, you can only rewrite 400 characters at a time, whereas QuillBot allows you to rewrite 700 characters at once.)

To sign up for a QuillBot account, go to the Burger menu in the top right corner and select “Create an Account.”

You’ll be sent to the signup page, where you can sign up using your Google or Facebook account, or by just entering your email, password, and name into a signup form.

You can choose to customise your account as soon as you join up with QuillBot, or you can skip this step.

You will then be routed to this page. It will demonstrate what is included in the free version. All you have to do now is press the “Continue” button.

After selecting proceed, the QuillBot editor will appear, allowing you to paraphrase your content.

Modes of Quillbot:

QuillBot offers seven different modes. All of these variables are mostly responsible for the paraphrase and quality of the created material.

If you’re on the free plan, you’ll only be able to use the Standard, Fluency, and Creative modes. The premium version is required to access Creative+, Formal, Shorten, and Expand modes.

Standard: Quillbot runs in this mode by default. It will make adjustments to your text while maintaining the same meaning and attempting to create natural-sounding language.

Fluency: This option will make the fewest alterations to your content, resulting in a more natural-sounding and grammatically correct language. Furthermore, the Word Flipper setting will be kept as low as feasible in this Fluency option.

Creative: As its name suggests, it is a creative one. This mode focuses on making more changes in the text as much as possible and try to create a text which is something different from the original one.

Creative+: This is the improved version of Creative Mode AI, which will make more intuitive adjustments and better comprehend things like common phrases and sayings.

Formal: This mode is highly handy if you wish to write in a corporate or academic atmosphere. This mode alters your writing to make it more suited for a formal audience.

Shorten: This option will come in handy if you wish to shorten the length of your text. Because this “Shorten Mode” will reduce the length of your content without compromising its meaning.
